3-Tip Tuesday's: Conflict, Solve it, Be the Guide

Sent by Corey Hiben

If you’re in business, you’re also in storytelling

Do your customers know the cost of NOT doing business with you?

Knowing the cost of NOT doing business with you increases your perceived value.

You do this by telling a story.

Let me explain 👇

‍

1. Conflict

Stories are entertaining because there is conflict.

If there is no conflict, there is no story.

Your customers have conflicts in their life.

The problem is, that they aren’t always aware of their conflicts.

Speak to the pain your customers are experiencing because they haven’t bought your service.

”wasted time and not seeing the physical transformation ”
”loss of sleep due to poor habits”
”frustration on being able to lose the weight”
”isolation from a community that supports your health goals”
”unable to play sports with loved ones”

Start your story by highlighting your customer’s conflict.

‍

2. Solve it

Now that you highlighted their conflict, explain how you’re going to solve it.

Think transformation photos.

Be specific and be visual.

”Get X results in X time”
”Sleep X hours with X routine”
”Lose X pounds in X weeks”
”Connect with X people at X location”
”Play X sport with X”

Continue the story by explaining EVERYTHING they will get by working with you.

‍

3. Be the Guide

Finish the story by positioning yourself as the guide.

Think Yoda in Star Wars.

As the guide, you should have authority and empathy.

Authority - prove you have what it takes to solve their problem.

Empathy - show that you understand their pain.

When you’re telling your story on your website, social media, or at networking events remember…

Star Wars is about Luke Skywalker, not Yoda.

Your customer is the hero, you’re just the guide.

✌️
