If I needed leads today.
This is what I’d do.
Help someone.
Like everyone, I started with zero clients.
My first client came from outreach.
I found her on Google Maps of all places.
She lived right down the street from me.
I sent her a message and offered to improve her website for free.
I can hear you now…
“Never work for free!”
“Charge what you are worth!”
“What a waste of time!”
All… short-term thinking.
That one client led to dozens of other (paying) clients for me.
Purely because I showed up to help.
I’m not saying you have to work for free.
But if you need leads today.
Start by helping someone with the skills you have.
You never know where it will lead. 😉
If I needed leads tomorrow.
This is what I’d do.
Find a community.
I didn’t know anyone when I moved to Austin.
So, the first thing I did was start building a community.
Like all communities, I started with zero.
Now we’re at 1,100+ members and growing.
I’ve never monetized the community.
But it has led to more leads than I can count.
I’m not saying you have to build your own community.
But if you need leads tomorrow.
It would be wise to get involved with one.
You never know what it will lead to. 😉
If I wanted leads forever.
This is what I’d do.
Create content.
I started taking my content seriously a year ago.
It’s brought me a lot of attention.
And with that attention comes leads.
I’m admittedly doing too much.
It’s overwhelming.
But if I was… were?… idk… smarter.
I’d choose one and go all-in on it.
Why?
Because attention is modern-day gold.
If you can hone the skill of garnering attention.
You will have leads forever.
