It feels like everyone is creating content.
But here’s the easiest way to stand out.
Tell more stories.
I just returned from a week in the wilderness with 7 other guys.
Here’s what I remember:
I remember them because there is a story attached to them.
Next time you create a piece of content.
Include a story.
It will make you more memorable.
I hate networking.
Especially as an introvert.
Until I replaced the word networking with friendworking.
I competed in a sand volleyball tournament last weekend.
It was a great opportunity to network.
But I wasn’t there to network.
I was there to friendwork.
This might seem like semantics.
But it changes the mindset around networking.
It’s a reminder to attend events to make friends.
Not to exchange business cards.
More friends = more leads.
I use Instagram a lot.
Here’s my favorite button.
Invite Collaborator.
I was recently on my buddy’s podcast show.
I discussed how attention is modern-day gold.
He posted a clip from the episode and invited me as a collaborator.
I gained more followers from that one post than I had in the past month.
The lesson?
Cross-pollinate.
Find people who share your same audience and find a way to collaborate.
