3 of my favorite ways to generate more leads.

Lessons from a 7-figure bodybuilding coach.

👇

1. Master Your Craft

Let me be frank. 🌭
Most content sucks. 🤮

Everyone is trying to reach the largest audience possible.
With the best content possible.

But how do you actually do it?
You become a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

A SME is someone who can take EVERY angle on a topic.
Not just the ones that support their current beliefs.

They can argue against themselves.
They look for “I’m wrong” not “I’m right.”

This is why people listen to Dr. Andrew D. Huberman.
He finds information that proves him wrong.

He’s not tied to his ego.
He’s tied to producing the best information possible.

Want people to listen?
Master your craft… from every angle.

2. Ask For Referrals

Assume nothing. 🙅
People are busy. 🐝

They will not refer you to their friends.
Unless you ask.

Be specific.
”Who do you know with *PROBLEM* that could also benefit from *SOLUTION*?”

If someone gives you praise.
Use that as a cue to ask for a referral.

Don’t be afraid to ask more than once.
People are busy… they forget.

3. Be Worth a Charge

Most people will tell you to never work for free. 🚫
I disagree. 👎

My first website project was free.
I did it for two reasons.

I didn’t have the skills to feel like I was worth a charge.
I was more interested in the relationship than the money.

That relationship has led to thousands of dollars of new business opportunities.
It taught me a very important lesson.

Money is one form of value exchange.
Skills and relationships are the others.

When you are worth the money, charge.
But until then… focus on the relationship.

Take home point…
- If you want people to listen… become a SME.
- Don’t assume people will refer… ask.
- Until you are worth a charge… work for free.

My interview with a bodybuilding coach inspired this email.

Next week, you’ll learn how this personal trainer went from hating his life in corporate America to building a thriving fitness business.

✌️

Until next time,
