1. Join

I recently signed up for a marathon.
I don’t even like running.

But they gave me a compelling reason to join.
The compelling reason… an exclusive marathon race.

The race sold out in 10 minutes.

If you want people to join your community.

Give people a compelling reason to join:

  • Is it the private events you host?
  • Is it the dope swag you give away?
  • Is it the free products or services you offer?
  • Is it the amazing community workouts you host?

Ask yourself… “What would make my community unique?”

2. Engage

Exclusivity made it compelling.
But it’s not what sold me.

What sold me is the BPN athletes.
Athletes I’d love to engage with.

If it means running a marathon.
Fuck it.

What does this mean for you?

Have a community that is worth engaging with:

  • Is it the talent?
  • Is it the energy?
  • Is it the kindness?
  • Is it the big ass biceps?

Ask yourself... “What excites people about my community?”

3. Share

The first thing I did after I signed up?
I shared it.

  • My friends
  • My social media.
  • My email newsletter.

Why?
Because they made it easy.

They emailed me a link with an easy share button.

What does this mean for you?

Make it easy to share:

  • It could be a funny email.
  • It could be a friendly DM.
  • It could be a handwritten note.
  • It could be content you provide them.

Ask yourself… “What would get people talking about my community?”

- Compel people to sign up.
- Have a community worth engaging.
- Make sharing easy.
