Marketing tips.
For people who hate marketing.

I cracked the code on why humans love dogs.
And why dogs love humans.
It’s called reciprocity.
It’s tit for tat.
I give to you… you give to me.
We provide food, toys and attention.
They provide love, loyalty and companionship.
The cycle continues forever.
RECIPROCITY
Here’s what’s hilarious about reciprocity.
The return of the kind gesture.
Is almost always more valuable than the initial gesture.
A coffee shop gave me a free dog treat.
That next day… I bought a $20 gift card.
Most expensive dog treat I’ve ever bought.
My point?
Give selflessly and watch it come back in tenfold.
No marketing required.
I’m currently training for a marathon.
It’s not going well.
I’m dealing with runners’ knee.
I’ve become obsessed with healing it.
When I heal from this injury.
I’ll have knowledge on how to help others heal from this injury.
I don’t plan on being a knee rehab expert.
But here’s my point.
There is value in obsessing over a problem.
The better you get at solving a problem.
The more people will come knocking at your door asking for advice.
Knees over toes guy.
Case in point.
No marketing required
9 months ago, I started a meetup group for entrepreneurs.
As of today, we have 488 members.
Why?
Because I’m selfish.
I selfishly desired to have these things. 👆
And it didn’t exist.
So I created it.
My point?
If what you want doesn’t exist… create it.
There is value in following your curiosities.
There is value in doing what you love.
People will find you along the way.
No marketing required.
Take home point…
- Give… and I promise it will return.
- Obsess over your problems.
- Be selfish… and let people find you.
My interview with Dr. Daniel Bockmann inspired this email.
