“Better marketing in less time”
Estimated read time: 1 minute & 26 seconds
Three words that will change your life.
Best Day Ever.

My buddy Joel flew into Austin to join me on my podcast show.
15-minutes into our interview, I made a massive mistake.
I didn’t hit record.
In synchrony, we shouted.
”Best Day Ever!!!”
After uttering those words, something flipped in our brains.
We saw the mistake as an opportunity.
- An opportunity to test our resilience
- An opportunity to spend more time together
- An opportunity to have a deeper conversation
Everything is an opportunity with the right framing.

BDE.
I’ve always felt hamstrung by the English language.
Our words lack specific meaning.
I say “I love you” fairly regularly.
Friends, family, clients, romantic partners.
But I don’t mean the same thing in every context.
Some people I LOVE!
While others I love.
It’s confusing.
Don’t let your marketing be confusing.
Say what you mean.
Don’t leave any space for ambiguity.
Clarity always beats clever.
Unless clever is also clear.
The world can’t tell you what you want.
Only you can.
I used to search for the solution to my desires.
Thinking it was hidden in a blog or on a podcast show.
”The best workout program”
”The best business model”
”The best career”
”The best diet”
”The best marketing strategy”
I already knew the answer.
I didn’t trust myself enough to listen to it.
I love podcasting more than anything.
Which is why I’m all in on it.
I didn’t need to ask the world to figure that out.
The “best” will always be unique to you.
Never outsource your desires.
Take home point…
- When faced with a problem… repeat after me, “Best Day Ever!”
- Clear > clever
- You already know what you want… trust it.
My interview with Joel Cochran inspired this email.
Next week, you’ll learn how this guy went from living in his car for 2+ years to becoming a multi-millionaire.

Until next time,
