I’m one of the most curious humans on the planet.
But it does have its dark side.
I love figuring out what makes people tick.
It’s why I’m obsessed with podcasting.
But not everybody is ready to tell me what's actually going on.
So sometimes… I step on people’s toes.
Sometimes I offend people.
Not intentionally… but because I care.
I care to know them deeper.
It goes in line with one of my favorite marketing principles.
People don’t care how much you know.
Until they know how much you care.
If you genuinely want to connect with your customer.
Show them how much you care.
I’ve been eating carnivore-esk for the past 3-months.
Purely as an experiment to see how I feel.
I’m now in the best shape of my life.
I’m not saying it’s 100% because of the diet.
- I’m weight training
- I’m running
- I’m getting in the sauna
- I’m plunging into the ice
But I can’t deny that it is a factor.
A factor I wouldn’t have discovered without an experiment.
I’ve run my fair share of health experiments.
- Keto
- Paleo
- Fasting
They all have their place.
But they aren’t for everyone.
It’s why I love marketing.
There is no right way.
It’s what works for you.
What’s your next marketing experiment?
The word authenticity has become trite.
But here’s what’s not trite.
People who actually embody it.
It’s rarer than you think.
- It takes awareness.
- It takes work.
- It takes consistency.
But the people who have embodied it are crushing it.
It’s why most people aren’t winning with their content.
Don’t be like most people.
Stop hiding.
People want to know you… show them.

- Show your customers you care.
- Run more experiments… it’s a great way to learn.
- People want to know the REAL you.
